Contact Us Online
What is eConsult?
Our eConsult online form is the quickest way to get in touch with us. It’s available on our website Monday to Friday, from 8am to 6.30pm.
When completing your online form you can tell us if you:
- Prefer a specific doctor or nurse
- Would prefer a phone or face-to-face appointment. We will do our best to accomodate your preference
- Need an interpreter or help with communication
- Have any access needs
What Happens Next
A GP will review your submission within one working day (often sooner). We’ll then contact you to let you know the next step.
This might be:
- An appointment
- A request for more details
- A referral to another service or clinician
Please keep your phone nearby, as we may contact you shortly after you send in your form, in some cases, we may need you to attend the surgery the same day.
You do not need an account to use this service.
Frequently asked questions
Why are you asking me to "contact us online"?
We know that many of you have told us the 8am phone rush can be stressful and unfair, with some patients waiting a long time to get through, and others missing out on appointments altogether.
We have listened to your feedback and are taking action to improve things.
What does "contact us online" mean for me?
- No more 8am scramble: you can fill one out at any time between 8:00am and 6:30pm, Monday to Friday
- Quicker, safer decisions: your request is sent directly to our doctors with all the key details, meaning less back-and-forth and faster action
- Fairer access for everyone: whether you work shifts, have children to get ready, or can’t always call at 8am, you’ll have an equal chance of being heard
- The right care, first time: your request will be reviewed by a GP and directed straight to the best person to help you, whether that’s a doctor, nurse, pharmacist, or another specialist in our team
- Less waiting on the phone: freeing up lines for those who truly need to call
How does it work?
- Complete the eConsult form (medical or administrative)
- A GP will aim to review your request the same working day
- We will then contact you with an appointment/ask for more information/signpost you to the most appropriate service
If you can’t complete the form yourself, a family member, friend, or carer can help. If online access isn’t possible, you can still reach us:
- By phone: Call our reception team on 01727 851 589. Our staff will take the information from you, fill an eConsult on your behalf, and pass it on to a GP.
- In person: Visit the surgery during our opening hours (8:30am to 6:30pm, Monday to Friday) and we’ll help you complete the form at reception.
What if eConsult is temporarily closed?
Our doctors take time to carefully review each request. On very busy days, during national IT issues or any other unforeseen circumstance, we may need to temporarily close access to the form. We always aim to keep these closures to a minimum and as short as possible
Thank you for bearing with us should this happen.
